Not-So Valentine’s Day Minis

In early January of 2021, I decided to offer some mini sessions to couples who wanted cute pictures to post for Valentine’s day! I planned five 20 minute sessions with couples at Ridley Creek Park on February 7th. One day before, mother nature decided to bless us with a forecast of snow. I held out hope until an hour before, when I decided we would need to reschedule. I was so lucky that my couples were understanding, and two of them decided that even though it was after V-day, they still wanted to find time to reschedule.

My first session was two weeks later with Kimmy and Defrim, and there was STILL snow on the ground. Kimmy is one of the bravest souls, she wore opened toed heels in the snow and managed to rock the shoot despite potential frost bite. I set up a cute picnic style blanket and flowers for them under a tree since we were shooting during direct sunlight, and the images turned out perfect!

My second couple was Daisy and Aaron. They had to schedule later in the month of March, which was perfect because the spring weather had already started to come through. The grass was green and the trees were just starting to grow leaves! Daisy and Aaron were so sweet and fun during their shoot, I loved watching Aaron make Daisy laugh. They truly brought out the best in each other!
