Fun fact: this is Katie and Nick’s second wedding. To each other.
Katie and Nick eloped back in November of 2019 and planned on having a ceremony and reception with their friends and family the following year. Enter; COVID-19. After months of consideration and watching the status of COVID, they pushed their big celebration back to 10/30/2021, and asked me to capture their day. They celebrated their marriage at Katie’s childhood summer camp in Spring City Pennsylvania, Camp Sankanac. It was a gorgeous, overcast fall day.
After getting dressed, Katie and her bridesmaids popped a bottle of champagne and cheers’ed each other using adorable mis-matched mugs.
After getting Katie ready, I headed over to the Groomsmen who were staying in one of the many cabins at Camp Sankanac.
Before the ceremony, Katie and Nick both had to hide away to finish writing up their vows.
Ceremony time!
They sealed their marriage with their secret handshake and, of course, a kiss. They had their guests throw dried flower petals collected from years of dating over them as they processed out. Then, they went and rang the camp bell!
After the ceremony we took couple’s and group photos. I also was able to capture many of the hand made details that Katie and her bridesmaids lovingly created.
Congrats, Katie & Nick! And thank you for having me there to capture your day!
